Social Accountability Auditor/Lead Auditor Training


This programme accredited by SAI (Social Accountability International) is a mix of interactive presentations and practical workshops designed to take delegates through both the broad background issues and the key stages of a social accountability audit.

The course concludes with a two-hour examination and delegates are subject to continuous assessment throughout the course.

This course is accredited in the SAI Course Accreditation Programme (CAP), and meets the Social Accountability auditor training portion of the requirements for certification of individual SA Systems Auditors, and SA Systems Lead Auditors.

A limited number of subsidised places are available on each course for representatives of not-for-profit NGO´s.

PERFORMANCE

At the end of this course, delegates will:

. understand the background to the social responsibility movement in the market place
. be aware of the "drivers" behind all stakeholders
. have learned about the SA 8000 Standard criteria and be able to interrupt them to specific situations
. appreciate the role of non-governmental organisations (NGO) and third parties
. be able to conduct a social accountability audit and to recognise the different types of objective evidence
. on successful completion of the course delegates will have met the training requirements for registration as a Social Systems Auditor with SAI.
