The Brucke & Virtus Organic Production Standard is a worldwide program for organic production and processing. Organic agricultural and horticultural systems promote the sustainable production of food of optimum quality and quantity. The program has been developed with reference to IFOAM, European Community Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91, USDA Rulings, JAS requirements and the Codex Alimentarius Guidelines. The Brucke & Virtus Organic Production Standard has been Guide 65 (EN 45 011) accredited by the RvA, Japanes MAFF and the USDA. In addition Brucke & Virtus local organic program in Austria has been accredited by the local Authorities since 1999.

EVENT

Concern for food safety and purity has lead to distrust of over-industrialized food manufacture and overly-artificial foods. These concerns have dramatically increased the demand for Organic foods in most Western countries in recent years with an annual growth of 20% and more. Brucke & Virtus has answered the needs expressed by more and more farmers and processors by developing a program with reference to the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM ) and the major importing markets with their specific local organic requirements. This standard the Brucke & Virtus Organic Production Standard was first launched in February 2000 and has since been particularly successfully in those markets that operate for a number of different Export markets. Products certified against the Brucke & Virtus Organic Production Standard are now among others imported into countries like United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan.
